I love the backyard barbeques, the pool parties, and the bonfires. Mostly, I think I just love summer, the warm weather, and the time to lazily spend with friends and family. But no backyard barbeque would be complete without some patriotic swag. These quick and easy to make pretzels dipped in white chocolate are a crowd favorite. It's fun to decorate the pretzels with a random pattern or a flag design. Even the kiddos helped out with this one. Ingredients: Pretzels White chocolate chips Food coloring Instructions: In a small mixing bowl, place the white chocolate chips. Microwave the white chocolate until melted. Do not overheat because they will burn. I typically microwave for one minute and stir and then check in 15 second increments, stirring each time, until fully melted. Af

This asparagus recipe is by far the easiest, most delicious, and healthiest side you can make. My kiddos call them green French Fries and devour them by the handful. Asparagus is a great way to get your vitamin K and folic acid. Eating asparagus also supports heart health and healthy digestion. Parmesan Roasted Asparagus is super simple to make and only requires three ingredients. Ingredients: Fresh asparagus Fresh parmesan (freshly grated) Extra virgin olive oil Instructions: Take the fresh asparagus and break or cut off the bottom, woody portion of the stem. Toss with olive oil and place on baking sheet. Spread asparagus uniformly in even layer on baking sheet. Grate about 1/2 cup of fresh parmesan on top of the asparagus. Add salt and pepper to taste. Bake at 400F for about 15-20 minutes. If you eat them with your fingers (like my kiddos do), allow them to cool

With Mother's Day right around the corner, it is nice to have a special way to tell Mom how much you love her. This loving hands card is an easy card to make. The kids have fun making it and decorating it. And the creative folding and cutting reveals a surprise heart between the hands when you open the card. Supplies: Card Stock or construction paper Markers or crayons Scissors Instructions: Fold a piece of paper in half. Place your child's hand on the paper with the thumb and first finger touching the fold. Create a slight curve in the child's hand between the thumb and first finger to create "half" of a heart. Trace the hand. Cut out the hand. Decorate. Open the card to reveal the surprise heart between two hands. Happy Mother's Day!!

With graduation season upon us, it is time to be thinking graduation gifts for the grad in your life. Of course, I love to acknowledge someone's achievements and support them on their journey, but I'm also cheap and I don't want to spend a fortune showing my love and support. So I've compiled this list of 20 rad grad gifts that cost under $20! Pen It may be cliché, but a nice pen is helpful for a young professional entering a new job or a student continuing their education. A pen is a really practical gift and will be used daily. I really like this one to commemorate the special occasion. Bracelet Although not quite as practical, a piece of jewelry can be a nice way to memorialize the event. I like the simple design of this one. Shadow Box It's always nice to have a photo and a keepsake to remember your journey. This shadow box is a picture frame a
